Prof. Zhiwei Gao

BIO: Zhiwei Gao (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree in industrial automation and the M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in systems engineering from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 1987, 1993, and 1996, respectively.,His research interests include diagnosis and control, digital twins, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data-driven approaches, biometrics, wind energy systems, wave converter, electric vehicles, and offshore energy.,Dr. Gao was the recipient of the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship in 2004. He is the Co-Editor-in-Chief for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, Senior Editor for IEEE Access, Area Editor for Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing, and Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Systems Man and Cybernetics: Systems. He was the Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, and IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology. For contributions to real-time diagnosis and control for wind turbines, he was elevated to IEEE Fellow in 2023.

Prof. Shunli Wang

Inner Mongolia University of Technology, China

BIO: Shunli Wang is a professor and doctoral supervisor, IET Fellow, Academic Dean, Academic Leader of the National Electrical Safety and Quality Testing Center, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Senior Overseas Study Talent of Sichuan Province, Academic and Technical Leader of China Science and Technology City, who is an authoritative expert in new energy research. His research interests include modeling, state estimation, and safety management for energy storage systems. He has led 56 national-level projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Key R&D Program, with a cumulative Research Impact Score (RIS) of 13,985. His scholarly output includes 258 SCI-indexed articles, of which 52 were published in CAS Zone 1/TOP journals, and 36 were recognized as highly cited/hot papers. He holds 63 authorized invention patents, standards, and software copyrights, and has authored 9 monographs published by internationally and domestically renowned first-class publishers. His work has earned him 9 provincial/ministerial-level or above awards, including 3 international gold prizes. Prof. Wang has chaired 17 international conferences and serves on the editorial boards of 5 international and domestic Chinese journals. Independent evaluations confirm that his core technological achievements have reached internationally advanced levels.

Prof. Wensheng Yan

Hangzhou Dianzi University, China

BIO: In 2008, Prof.Yan obtained his Ph.D. in Engineering from the Microelectronics program in the Department of Physics at Nanjing University. Subsequently, he conducted scientific research in Singapore, Australia, and Germany for 12 years, gaining extensive experience in leading and managing international teams. In 2021, he joined Hangzhou Dianzi University full-time and established the university-level Carbon Neutrality and New Energy Research Institute. He has received numerous honors and titles, including the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Nomination Award, ARENA Scholar from the Australian Department of Sustainable Energy, Senior Humboldt Scholar in Germany, Lead Scientist of the German National Research Foundation, Distinguished Expert of Zhejiang Province, National Distinguished Expert, and Leader of a Zhejiang Provincial Leading Innovation and Entrepreneurship Team. Currently, he serves as a review expert for key R&D projects under the Ministry of Science and Technology and national talent programs, as well as a guest professor at Xiamen University. Additionally, he holds the position of Deputy Director of the Special Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the China Democratic League and Academic Committee Director of the Zhejiang Yangtze River Delta Photovoltaic and New Energy Technology International Science and Technology Cooperation Base. His research expertise includes photovoltaic cells (crystalline silicon, perovskite, and high-efficiency tandem cells), energy storage batteries, integrated photovoltaic and energy storage systems, microelectronics and integrated circuits, and intelligent manufacturing and algorithms. As a convener, he has organized numerous international and domestic academic conferences. To date, he has secured over 60 million yuan in research funding. Professor Yan's team is dedicated to promoting the synergistic development of industry, academia, and research, providing strong scientific and technological support for the development of high-tech industries at both national and regional levels, and contributing to the early achievement of China's "dual carbon" goals.

Prof. Wei Xu

Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China


BIO: Wei Xu (Fellow, IEEE) received the double B.E. and M.E. degrees from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2002 and 2005, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IEECAS), Beijing, China, in 2008, all in electrical engineering. His research topics mainly focus on the design and control of linear machines and drives.From Sep. 2008 to Sep. 2013, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow with the University of Technology Sydney, Ultimo, NSW, Australia, the Vice-Chancellor Research Fellow with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, and a Japan Science Promotion Society Invitation Fellow with Meiji University, Tokyo, Japan, respectively. From Oct. 2013 to Dec. 2023, he was a Professor with the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China. Since Jan. 2024, he has been a Professor with IEECAS. Dr. Xu is Director for State Key Laboratory for High Density Electromagnetic Power and Systems,anIEEE Fellow andanIET Fellow. He is General Chair of 2021 International Symposium on Linear Drives for Industry Applications (LDIA) and 2023 IEEE International Conference on Predictive Control of Electrical Drives and Power Electronics (PRECEDE). He is one Associate Editor of over ten peer-reviewed IEEE JOURNALS, including IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS and IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON POWER ELECTRONICS. He has published4 books, over 180 journal papers in IEEE Series, and been awarded more than 150 intentional patents granted, which has been cited by over 11,000 times with H-index 52 based on Google Scholar statistics.
